No dualism

Often some in the church have difficulty speaking about the goodness of creation in light of all the evil we suffer, often at the hands of others. This fuels the perception of God’s mission mentioned earlier, “The point of God’s mission is to get me to heaven because this earth is going to burn.” Coupled with this idea is that until Christ returns, the church is the only holy space; everything outside is “secular” and “pagan” and should be avoided, perhaps even feared. This sacred-secular dualism no longer should be considered a Christian posture.
